Given the confusion...EmeraldDragon...what would /your/ preferred ship configurations be, and we'll see if we can arrange points to get there? I fear I only contribute to the occasional procurement of spare parts. Simply put, I am the GM... I tend to let the story flow under its own form. The only really big difference to the game is if at least 1/4-1/2 of you have ships, space battles are more likely to occur as is spliting the party. If you don't you are more likely to stay together, and stick to more traditional fighting.

For the record, The Warren has no combat capacity outside of its single turret which isn't manned unless someone wants to come join us—it is typically a get-us-places vessel, so aside from a nifty trick where we have near-permanent cloaking, it won't be intentionally entering combat, but dropping a landing/boarding party off instead~

I have invested to piloting, artillery and engineering (well, the servant droid not the character for fluff reasons) more than anything. Skills, advantages and techs included.

Alright, I promise I'm not trying to make things complicated, but thinking for a moment about having a carrier as a ship: Size wise, is it similar to a light cruiser? The configuration would be quite different, obviously. How many fighters could one carrier hold? And how many would my clan let me drag on assignment with me, as I'm sure they wouldn't want to provide a full complement?

Size wise its essentially the same, prehaps a little larger. As for fighters, it will probably carry a little less then the Quasar Class Carrier. (So around 30-40 max.) Keep in mind this will be this ships only 'guns' essentially, and you most likely won't be carrying max capacity. <3 Star Wars for doing half the work for me. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Quasar_Fire-class_bulk_cruiser

Emerald Magistrate/Dragon Champ: Go investigate this for me. Samurai: Well, a cruiser filled with fighters sounds like the best way to get that job done.
xD I love it.

Oh dear, I fear hearing those word from a DM. Of course, I love saying them when it's me in charge.

Just tossing this in here, I will be bringing a fighter squadron to the Emerald Magistrate storyline.

A whole squadron, or just one?
Boarding parties. My job is to wait for the boarding parties.

A whole squadron, or just one? Boarding parties. My job is to wait for the boarding parties. A wing of 3, currently working out how many of them I will actually be in control of. And I'm talking aces, not casual pilots. A fully capable escort.
