"Follow. Location?" The lights flash back to the Nochirasu. Ketaan likewise relays the conversation to the bridge of the Obsidian Truth.

Kokishin, still in the pilot's seat, flashes the lights once in understanding and waits for Kasuga to lead on.

((OOC:Brief OOC note, time has switched over to day 2. Given that, due to my fault, not as much posting has been done here as I would like, I will not push for you all to sleep yet, and likely just extend the flight to the next destination out. Just keep in mind this thread is still day 1 Afternoon)
The Engineer scratches his face, and glances over at the Asako for a second, before saying, pushing the leaf into his cheeks, "Obsidanite huh, sama? Can't say I know to much about that to be honest. Before my time really. If the sensors picked it up, it should have told you we shouldn't have made any for almost 300 years now. Only really know about that stuff cause it comes under one of the most dangerous things we ever made." There was a hint of pride in the Gyushi's voice, as if such a destructive compound was a source of pride, rather then something to be feared, "From my understanding its properties are similar to Mercury, although with a much higher vapor pressure, and thus vaporizes into the air quite rapidly before condensing again. Nasty stuff."
Bringing up his datapad, he looked out into the void of space as he types for a moment, "If its solid out there it shouldn't be a risk, but then as I said, before my time. You may have more access to the data then me for all I know." He shrugs and hands over the datapad, its screen requesting authorization to continue, "Look over that when you have the time. Should contain its history and properties."
"As for taking a sample of the stuff, I'll see what we can find. We should have a vacuum container somewhere, sama. Anything else?" Another very slight bow, ruined by him starting to chew once more.

Having received acknowledgement from her comrades, Naosuko spools up her engines and leads the fleet. Her route however takes her away from the station, though it is still watched carefully. She heads to the closest of the four kemari satellites. Who was listening, she wondered. This would require a closer look. As they grow nearer to the object, Naosuko attempts to get a better picture of the device with her scanners. She mutters questions to it in several non-human languages, not transmitting them over the com systems but talking to it nonetheless. What are you little guy? Computers/Water: 6d10o10k4 35
Edit: ((OOC: Just to confirm, the station is not here. All we see is the Obsidianite cloud and these satellites.))

((OOC: Correct. Its gone))
The Satellite looks small and black, with five antennae out one side of it. The casing is far to smooth to be sure, but their seems to be no security arrangement on it. Its possible their is a very small self destruct charge on the inside but thats the only possible option, and scanners detect no void in the device where such an explosive could be resting.
Perhaps the aliens were confident you would never find it.
Regardless, up close its clear that this device isn't designed to truly transmit on its own, unless its actually using primitive radio waves. The Antennae would not be required if it had its own inbuilt method of entangling particles. As such if it is transmitting messages to a third recipient, said ship must be quick close. More likely seems to piggyback off your own communications array, although how and to what end would require opening it up.
Regardless, when coms are shut the thing seems to be offline, making scanning it harder then it should be. There is something else odd about this...a reflective nature she had seen before, but its not from one of the three major alien races.

To Enshiro: "I believe the Kasuga is asking us to 'kidnap' one of the small signal interceptors. Is it possible to open up one of the airlocks and pull the ship over the object and close the hatch, effectively swallowing it? If the Kasuga's coordinates are correct and our steering is accurate, we should be able to grab it. Do you have a better idea? I'm a bit concerned it might explode or something, especially if we bump into it or when it falls to the ground once gravity applies to it inside the ship."
To the Kasuga, Kokijin flashes the lights with one word. "Safe?"

"Probably, second opinion?" comes the reply. That shiny material is unknown to the Tortoise samurai, and that bothers her. Precautions should be taken in any event.

Enshiro nods in assent "I will be sure to look this over. For now, a vacuum container sounds ideal, Gyushi-sama. Please make the necessary preparations. We'll be catching some of the debris soon."
He turns to Kokishin. "That would certainly take some skilled maneuvering. I could call forth a spirit to fetch the object once we get close to it. That could avoid a potential casualty. We can leave it quarantined in a vacuum cell to at least try and simulate the void. Set course for the Tortoise's coordinates."
To an underling, "Prepare a cell for the object's storage."

Tai-Wen, continuing the conversation through her squadmates, flicks her own communications in rapid response. Morse Code, 33"Can look it over tomorrow. Good with tech, Alien tech. Will give it a once over. Call it a night soon, safer space and regroup?"

Kokishin checks the coordinates again, then puts the ship into full manual steering so that he can move with precision. Calling one raise for "intuitive reaction to change" once we realize the kasuga's less than stellar job at pinpointing the probe for us, using a void point (remaining: 1 of 3) 41orokos.com/roll/527441

The Engineer looks eager and he and the chosen underling hurry off to do their tasks, the Engineer muttering about 'gaijin tech' and 'new research.' Hopefully he can keep his paws off it long enough for you to actually have a proper look at it first.
Kokishin proved to be quite a skilled pilot once more, and the ship, even with the slightly inaccurate coordinates, moves to where the closest satellite is. Its dark colour barely is visible in the void of space, but its just visible enough under the lights of the ship to stand out for retrieval whether by grappling hook or via the power of the kami.

"Excellent." the Spider says simply as the ship is placed into position. Enshiro then produces a scroll, and utters a prayer to the kami of Earth.
(OoC: Earth's Touch, +1 Willpower)
"I shall return. Prepare the nearby airlock." He commands to some underling.
He moves over to the appropriate exit, suiting up for space. Through sheer force of will, Enshiro reaches out to the realm of Toshigoku, pulling through a spirit from the Realm of Slaughter. His willpower, enhanced through the blessing he casted earlier, was strong, and should be able to control the being long enough to fetch the item.
(OoC: not sure how spirits move in space... Would I need to toss a jetpack on it or something?)

((OOC: Its something that floats when under gravity, let alone when their is no gravity to hold it down. It has no problems moving in a manner that defies physical explanation...see Kakashi's ability to doggie paddle in outerspace.

The Toshigokujin manifests itself upon the deck and instantly goes to strike at the mortal who was foolish enough to summon it into this world with a rawr. However it pauses mid strike, as Enshiro binds the creature to his will. Glaring at the human with clear malevolence, the Toshigokjin obeys orders and drifts out to grab the Satellite. Once it was in its hands, it began to come back.
Once the Satelite was inside, and thus in close proximity to the Spider, his senses spotted something....the lack of kami. Perhaps it was a sign that the race who made this didn't interact with them at all, and thus they were all sleeping, but the probe was almost dead silent to his ears, not even the most basic kamic whisper.
Thus it was carried to the storage place the Engineers designated for it. As it was transported their, Enshiro spotted the Engineers modifying the grapple, seemingly trying to modify it such a way to allow it to scoop up the Obsidanite.

When Enshiro returns to the bridge, Kokishin asks if he was able to retrieve the orb. After a nod of affirmation, he continues. "The wake angels say they are good with alien tech. I think the Kasuga wants to look at it too. Also, as you well know it's quite late. I believe I speak for everyone when I say we should find a safe place to park for the night and we can look at the orb in the morning." Kokishin flashes the word "success" with the lights. 63 orokos.com/roll/528069 (OOC: I hate when great rolls are wasted on trivial matters!) He does it so well, a ghostly spirit appears and gives him a medal for "best morse coder ever" before disappearing back into the abyss. Kokishin tosses the medal in the trash immediately so as not to disturb the balance of the game. He continues with the word "follow" and gets the ship moving. Assuming the other ships follow, when they are safely outside of the range of the other satellites, Kokishin uses the comms again. "Let us all find a good place to park so we can get some sleep. We'll get together in the morning to examine the device. Any suggestions for a place to stop?"
