Name:
Asako Honoka
Clan:
Phoenix
Age: 26
Role: Scholarly Inquisition Historian
Biography:
Honoka is an Asako Inquisitor and a Jade Magistrate, however many among both orders consider her a historian first and foremost, often going to the source material first. Not only is she often seen with a tablet, but often at the same time referencing ancient books and scrolls that most people would dare touch anymore.
She tends to wears modest, practical Phoenix colored robes, although their is clearly some technology sewn into her robes, although what it does exactly is difficult to ascertain. While her hair is kept long as tradition requires, it is put up in the simplest and most practical way she knows. She has the traditional Eye tattoo on her hand, and on the same hand has taken to wearing an Ivindi style slave bracelet that contains at least one piece of Jade, and some sort of nemuranai Bracelet.
She also somehow has a friendly Earth kami and a friendly Fire Kami...they do not 'get along' at all, but she manages to keep them both content enough to stay.
The sparks and dust they occasionally throw up around her is unnerving to some, but Honoka has long since learned to not only ignore it, but move in such a way that such sparks won't touch whatever priceless historic text she is currently looking at.
At heart she is a scholar, thinking long and carefully before acting and then when she does so it is usually through other agents.
Name: Shimazu Hirosue
Clan: Spider
Age: 43
Role: Cursed Emerald Magistrate.
Biography: Hirosue at first glance is clearly a Bushi of the Spider Clan, although seeming to favor the dark green over the typical black . He wears a dark Green Kimono with hints of black, and a light armor empowered with radiant energy. He wears a Daisho thats is on his obi in plain black Sayas, and carries quite a powerful gun on his back. He does daily Kata's and is quite fit. He is also clean shaven and keeps his hair short in a Chinese Topknot, a spider Ornament holding it in place.
Few would make this mistake however, for Hirosue is possibly the second most famous Emerald Magistrate in the Empire. He has solved a number of high profile cases, has a reputation for using slightly more force then strictly necessary, and is the bastard son of the Shimazu Daimyo and the brother of the Diagotsu Daimyo. This makes him the first Samurai born with the blood of both Diagotsu and Shimazu in his veins, the first person who can trace his ancestors to both the Dark Lord of Jigoku and the reborn soul of the Dark Kami. While no one will confirm it, its common knowledge he is destiny to preform a dark deed against the Empire, and his hard work up till now is to make sure when he does die, his positive actions make up for his inevitable betrayal, so that his Kharmic debt is balanced.
In an effort to avoid this fate however, he is an avid student of the Tao, and carries a personal shrine to Shinsei with him everywhere, hoping to understand "Fortune Favors the Mortal Man" enough to avoid his fate. Apart from his he is also always seen with Wanrong, an arboreal predator from the jungle world of First Landing. Wanrong is most easily described as a reptilian cross between an Opoosum and a cat, with three eyes and a long tail. With its sharp claws, nimble feet and tail, and strong legs, it can quickly move from tree to tree, seeking small pray with its keen eye sight and staying above the larger predators that live upon the ground.
Name Togoshi Ando
Clan: Dragon
Age: An Enlightened mind does not ask how long one has lived or how long has one yet to live. Thus I have long since stopped counting. (Public Record shows him to be at least 75, and probably older)
Role: Professional Med...I mean Dragon Monk.
Biography:
Ando is most commonly described by people, quite accurately, as a meddling old man. Perhaps a wise and enlightened meddling old man, but a meddling old man none the less. His ability to seemingly teleport around the Empire at ease means he is quite proficient at getting to people who would rather not talk with him, and once there he is quite good at either stirring up trouble, or swaying people to his point of view. While a useful talent to have for the Dragon Clan Champion, some within his order question if this really should be the role of a Dragon Monk, and others question how much he does this with some overarching goal in mind....vs how often he does it because he enjoys meddling.
He counters with, "The Third lesson is to kill yourself, to live as a child does. A child does not lock himself away...if anything, children are defined by their curiosity and lack of understanding of boundaries."
Its possible however his constant meddling has made his life....difficult with the Emperor's recent announcement. Ando, no matter his silver tongue, and his courtly skill, has made quite a few enemies over the years, and the Dragon seeking to subtly contradict the Emperor and change his mind was far too big of an opportunity to miss. Despite the power of the clan falling last Winter Court, and his own efforts seemingly coming to naught, he still left court with a smile on his face, claiming victory at least as an unrequested nakodo between a number of couples.
The worry was only visible if you looked him in the eyes.
He wears a pair of green Hakama and Geta, both largely unadorned although the Hakama have a touch of gold to complete the Dragon's colour scheme. He is never seen without his fan, which is white in colour, with no adornments or decorations. He is also completely bald and clean shaven.
He has 4 Tattoos:
Crane in flight on his chest which carries a white mask.
A Centipede made of stars on his arm
A Chameleon sleeping on the left side of his face
A Cat on his back, likewise sleeping.
