Drifting in deep space, the Warren is safe...for a set level of safe. Out here, beyond the Oort cloud of any system, their scanners could pick up anything out of the ordinary. Asteroids were rare this far out, Rogue planets few and far between, and even then, they almost all follow Galactic rotation. The scanners of the Warren thus can easily detect any ship thats out of place.
And in the depths of space, anyone who finds the Warren, anyone who is out of place, is almost certainly looking for The Warren. No one accidentally jumps into the Emptyness that is between star systems, and their is so much more of it then space, that the chance of meeting someone else hiding in this space by accident is inconceivable.
As they drifted in space, the coms until flickered to life, indicating a message from the Phoenix Clan.

"All hands to the bridge," Itsuki calls over the comms of The Warren before pinging an accurate location trace to the other vessel, including the comment that the asteroid field The Warren is concealed in is fake.
Then he opens the message from the other vessel, ready to activate a High Rokugani translation of the script if the intel is not sensitive for the others to read.

A slight change in the Warren's movement awoke Tetsuko. For a moment she consisted staying where she was, but then she wouldn't know what was going on. She then got up, threw on her clothes and made her way to the crew lounge at the front of the ship.

Shinwa had gone to bed for some sleep of his own when Kiru returned to it. During his time watching the bridge he watched the pulsing orange light of the Mousetrap protocol, but did not stop it. In the morning, he arose, dressed, and was doing his kata when the summons to the bridge alerted him of the Phoenix presence. The events of the previous day and night have obviously disturbed him....he only barely manages to get through the kata the first time he ran through them. Some of the regrets and fears of the previous day have contaminated his spirt. On the second attempt, he has found purity of focus and manages to bring himself to center. He is just finishing up those meditations when the call to the bridge alerts him to come. He slides his katana back into the saya on his hip and heads to the bridge. When he sees the screen and the approaching Phoenix mon that marks the incoming Phoenix ship, a trickle of irritation spills into his new found Void. If we call for help for nothing, there will be no aid for us when it is actually needed. Still, these choices were not for him to make. The Clans must make their own choices. That was the whole point. But there was a trickle of impure thought he would need to meditate harder on if he were going to be able to crush it... This is humiliating.

Nanashi stands with his back along the wall in the hallway. He is looking directly into the bridge and watching everyone muddle about. He is dressed in his full gear and armor. His guns on his thighs are ready for war and his swords are strapped on his back. He isn't talking to anyone but looks more like a dragon statue guarding a temple. He generally dosnt appear to be in a talkative mood. Buzz off - intimidation: 6d10o10k3 24

Kiru takes his time in heading to the bridge—his sleep routine has been disturbed a bit, and the aches in his head are making his body's opinion quite well known to him.
He nods at the others if they make eye contact, but otherwise goes to make himself comfortable in the co-pilot's seat, wondering slightly if the Shiba and Hida have 'hit it off' yet.

On answering, the officer on the other end communicates with Itsuki, only just making the barest greeting of "Moshi Moshi," before starting with the questions in a logical and thorough fashion.
"Is our worst fear realized or is the situation less severe then that?"
"Why was Mouse Trap Activated?"
"Is the captain still leading the craft in search of Bright Happiness Day, or do you currently have a different temporary objective?"
Some of these questions are to assess the situation, clearly. But others are more to confirm the ships identity, the current crew composition and if the documents the Phoenix have match what the Shiba states. The Phoenix have yet to have a rogue shaman and while the chances of a Nezumi going rogue or insane successfully mind controlling Samurai is laughable....the Agasha invented a whole new type of magic that was once considered laughable.
As they talked, a large Corvette vessel, more heavily armed then the Warren becomes visible. An Agasha class ship, its one of the more common ships of the Phoenix in the Empire. Half science vessel, half exploration vessel, the Agasha class explores, conducts experiments, and allows the Phoenix to keep their more powerful ships hidden, while defending Phoenix interests and making it clear the Phoenix do still maintain technology superiority.
After the ship appears, a new message is received, "Permission to board, Shiba-san?"

Itsuki replies to each question quietly, efficiently, and immediately upon being asked each. This is a serious thing that has been done, after all.
"We are safe, but another severe situation has arisen."
"Ship systems potentially tampered with. Cannot safely open the way."
"M'thack-kir's search continues, but at present we are engaged in a matter for the Inquisitors. Your help is requested."
At the last question, Itsuki is polite enough to look at Kiru, who is already leaning in to send his own audio response, "Permission granted."
Then Kiru leads any who might follow to the airlock, emotions unreadable. He is whispering something, too quietly to hear exactly, but there is rhythm in his words.

Nanashi followed the Captain. Standing just behind and to the left. His normal spot. He still looks irritated.

Tetsuko watches Kiru go past her, then after a moment passes and she follows him, making sure her daisho is secure. She hangs to the back, more observing than anything.

Itsuki waits until the other ship has docked before leaving the bridge and joining the others, standing with the group but as far from the Dragon and Crab as he can, gaze lowered. The former, he needs to give some space, and the latter...best not to challenge someone when company is arriving.

Shinwa does not move, mostly standing sentinel over the entrance to the bridge. He still bears his katana from his morning kata. His goal seems to be to remain impassive and serve as a piece of the Warren's interior decor: functional and not particularly distinguishable from any other part of the ship.

The ships locked togther, and as the doors open, two Samurai and a Shugenja cross through the airlock. A Shiba, clearly the Yojimbo, an Agasha Shugenja, and an Asako, by the looks of it an Asako Loremaster, pass onto the ship, and bow low to the people waiting for them, "Thank You for waiting, the Phoenix are always eager to aid our allies the Nezumi in times of distress." The Asako began, "I am Asako Ruri, and with me are Shiba Dae-Jung and Agasha Jaedong. We hope you have all fed today." The Asako's On was perfect, and the Shiba's was nearly equally so.
The Agasha however, had quite the smile on his features, clearly eager to get started. Given the equiptment he was carrying he was clearly quite technically minded...quite possibly the Pheonix were concerned whatever had gotten into the system had interfered with the Engines or some other component.
Ruri paused for a moment and then continued, "From my understanding, you have had a risk of an unauthorized system acess, yes? With your permission, I will see if any software damage was done, while Agasha-san looks over the engines and then he will appease the kami, making sure that they forgive the actions that led to such an unauthorized acess. Before I begin however, I do need to ask if you have any idea who it was that hacked you?" The Asako sweeps the group, trying to determine who preformed the actions, trying to spot anyone who looked guilty, "Such an action is of course highly dishonorable and the given the current state of political tension in the Empire, such actions cannot pass unquestioned."

Kiru jumps the gun a little bit with his bowing, doing so as the three Phoenix are still entering from the airlock.
He then smiles at their greetings and questions and nods. "Please. The ship feels strange, needs more fixing than M'thack-kir can manage. M'thack-kir names Asako, Shiba, and Agasha as friends of The Warren."
The looming sense of being watched by something sinister that all three Phoenix are beginning to perceive suddenly dissipates, and even the ship's lighting seems friendly.
Itsuki takes a step forward and bows low. "This one was trying to extract data from a probe that was recovered during our mission, dropped by an unknown ship before it jumped out of the system. This one bears the shame of failing to contain the probe and prevent the hacking. A Geisha house is the only lead we have so far, on the World of Dreams, so that puts it as a likely Scorpion intrusion, yet this one is not convinced, as the Scorpion are not known to have created such effective technology."
Unless it was our code, brothers.
He stops speaking but keeps his head bowed, ashamed, possibly doubly so for lying on Nanashi's behalf.
