"She would be, if she uses blood magic," said Tetsuko. She then looked at Nanashi. "How did you find this out? That Oracle wasn't exactly a straight talker."

Nanashi says with some pride.
"And I am good with computers. I got the other probes on the surface to tell me. I came here to await being thrown out the airlock."

Once more, after some time, there is the sound of footsteps coming down the rungs towards the airlock.
He sees the open airlock and Nanashi examining it without the spacesuit and Tetsuko examining it with the spacesuit, and just has to sigh.
"Konbanwa, Samurai-samas. It seems you have been busy. Might I ask what you have discovered...on this side of the airlock door please? I'd like to shut the airlock door now if you don't mind, and I'd rather not have anyone on the wrong side of it."

Nanashi puts his hands up in a placating gesture.
"I haven't touched anything besides this bottle. Are you sure I shouldn't stay here. Just in case our beloved pilot decides I'm redundant?"

Shinwa lets slip another sigh. "He's cranky without enough sleep. He should not be considering challenges anyway. Anyway, I bought you time. But you need to go to the science console in the Crew Lounge and make absolutely, one hundred percent sure that there is not a single trace of a virus in our systems. It may not be enough to appease him, but I assured him that you would never intentionally harm The Warren."
He turned and looked at the probe nestled in the airlock entry in the middle of a powerful sensor array. "Or, say, expose the ship without canning through the airlock scanners for Shadowlands Taint or anything else first for example, or anything like that. So what did you find?"

((OOC: Sorry about the late reply...life has been...interesting these last few days))
Extracting data from the probe would require activating it...which would, in its current state of overload, probably just damage the components more.
It would likely be better to disassemble the probe. Its individual components would be far better suited for analysis, and wouldn't risk damage due to any pathways on the motherboard being cooked.
The other option is fixing it entirely with it opened...but that has greater risks. The information would of course be more accurate... but at the same time, it would also mean the probe was broadcasting again.

"If there was taint here I would have found it already and dealt with it," said Tetsuko a little resentfully. She looked down at the probe. "This probe can probably tell us a bit more if we take it to pieces. It already has revealed one thing: Lotus." She showed Shinwa the writing with the blood.

Nanashi finishes his soda with a big gulp. "I'll go take care of the systems."
Nanashi goes off and tries to do as asked. Hopefully the Phoenix haven't locked him out.

"Good plan." He listens to Tetsuko's description. "This is good information, Nanashi-sama, Tetsuko-sama. I have been asked to request that everyone please refrain from touching the probe further until Kiru-san is able to recover himself in order to view it. He may be able to repair it. And if it is repaired in a sufficiently illusionary environment, we may be able to deceive it /and/ gather more information about it. It is something to consider, but something that can probably wait for a few hours before we have to take action on it."
He considers. "That lotus pattern might have references in public information sources the Warren can access once we come out from under stealth. But in any event...I am going to lock the airlock now and we can take this up with everyone available. Thank you both."
He locks the airlock with a quick code.

Don't touch...he's treating us like children...and him with not a clan or family name to speak of...and just when I try to make up for what happened earlier...
She would have challenged him, again, but then it would have even been more difficult to carry out her orders for her own Clan. She simply put the probe down on the floor and left without another word.
