The creature below the ice is an alpha predator, fearing nothing, top of the food chain on this world before it froze over. Prey does not fight it, prey only flees from it, the darkness that rules the seas. And thus, when Tetsuko's Tetsubo strikes it with a force designed to shatter flesh and bone AFTER passing through a Radiant Shield, the creature screams in agony, its cries felt rather then heard as they pass through the layers of ice.
Its grip slips, almost letting go of the craft...but not yet, its not in enough pain to give up yet, not enough pain to overcome the promise of fresh food which was used to manipulate it to the surface.
However a different approach is needed. If grasping the prey leads to it being struck, it will strike back. The tentacles Lash down, missing Kiba entirely, but striking the Camel solidly, causing the craft to shake.
Tentacles raised, it lashes out at the the Camal and Kiba, intent on crushing them. Less effective this maybe, but far safer.
As they round the final corner, it seems the pained thrashing of the creature has had an effect on the ice...A crack begins to form in their path, slowly growing wider.

/Round 2/ Sword drawn, Shinwa jumps into action, keeping balance easily on the rocking Camel. [OOC: Reflexes+Athletics=23] Totsuzen in hand, blessings of jade granting the silvery blade a faint greenish hue, the ronin slashes into action against the tentacles with a pair of swift attacks. [OOC: Attack Stance with Totsuzen: Attack #1 with 1 raise for damage: Kenjutsu+Agility=30 Damage for attack #1 (if it strikes), including 1k0 for raise: Strength+Sword+raise=21 Attack #2 with 1 raise for damage: Kenjutsu+Agility=24 Damage for attack #2 (if it strikes), including 1k0 for raise: Strength+Sword+raise=26
Note: I accidentally included emphasis in the damage rolls. I re-rolled without the emphasis, but the resulting values were much higher, so I left the old ones. Here's the rerolls: Attack 1 Damage, Attack 2 Damage
Combat Details: Here] "Stay strong, Kaiden-sama," he says, not looking in Kaiden's direction at all, but focused solely on the tentacles.

/Round 2/
The Camel's radiant shields are forced to absorb some of the damage headed towards it, but the vehicle still has integrity and the environmental conditions within still hold.
[OOC: Ide Camel Shield SDC = 23 Total SDC = 80 Shields have 8 Reduction and recharge at a rate of 8 per round. Environmental conditions start to degrade once 50% of SDC achieved. Struck for 19 points of damage, reduced to 11 = 12 shield SDC and 80 Total SDC remaining.
Please let me know if I'm calculating vehicle damage incorrectly.]

/Round 2/
Kiru brings The Warren closer to its destination. The ship's whirring engines can probably be heard by those below now, although it might be a distraction from the precarious situation they find themselves in.
Itsuki continues being quiet, patient Itsuki.
Kakashi (Water Stance) reaches the closest beacon and quickly examines it to locate any and all buttons, which he promptly smacks with invisible hands while his doggy form visually appears to lick the side of the beacon with a slobbery pink tongue. Once the buttons have been pushed down, he phases his body into the realm between realms again, ensuring his own safety. If there are no buttons, or if there are but they didn't just result in the beacon self-destructing or making any strange sounds, Kakashi will yank off all antennae and take hold of the beacon so that he can bring it back to The Warren for further inspection and effective destruction...and with Kiru's permission, maybe even delivering it to his fun-loving brethren in Sakkaku.

Tetsuko tries to keep her balance, but has to grab the frame of the Camel. She still manages to attack. Once, twice. Hoping this will discourage any tentacles heading their way.

Nanashi witnesses the widening gap. Finally! This is going to be fun.Nanashi doesn't slow down. In fact he spreads up. Pointing Kiba at the best lip of ice he can to make the jump. Kiba growls like it's the Elemental Dragon of Metal and takes to the air. (OCC: Nanashi and Kiba try to jump the gap. +Void = 31)

((No, your calculations are good Shinwa. At the end of the day, this is a threat to the passengers more then the ship itself. However a brief reminder to our Hida that a round is normally either 1 complex action or 2 simple actions. To loose a simple action means you can't make a complex one that round. I will however let it pass with the only repercussion is Shinwa stealing the last blow. )) Between the grabbing the speeder, and the bashing the craft took, Kaiden cannot keep the craft going, and it is pulled to a stop, and in fact starts to be dragged backwards. However Shinwa and then Tetsuko both attack the Tentacle, with Shinwa's sword making the final slice to cut the thing from the vehicle. The beast howls in agony and the Tentacles move away from the craft, and back into the icey depths below. It is at that point the ice sheet the craft is parked on begins to angle, as if something very heavy is pulling against it. The Kiba easily clear the jump, more helped then hindered by the actions of the beast, and lands safely at the drop zone. Having failed to even scratch the Dragon's bike the Kaiju sized creature has chosen to seek the easier pray. As for the flying shiba inu, the probe it finds is covered in numerous buttons, and pressing them all at random leads to it making quite a clear error sound and flying off in an odd direction. While it didn't explode, in this state its not going to have any hope of finding whatever the craft wished to find. Its easily going slow enough to catch and hold, the boosters designed for micro adjustments rather then actual engines as its using them now. ((OOC: Athletics/Reflexes))

Shinwa flicks the gore off his blade like a movie samurai from some ancient vid that no one but classic film aficionados would watch any more. He wipes it once with a cloth from his pocket, and slides it smoothly back into his saya. He is still standing on one seat with one foot braced on the back of the seat, facing backwards and scanning to the sides to make sure the tentacles do not re-emerge from the broken waters.
"Well done, Doji-sama. Please raise the elevation to maximum and let us see if we can join Nanashi. Kiru-san is close and should be landing any minute now."

The coms in the bridge click. "Hey, Captain! Bring her in. I've got you covered. Let's get the Jigoku out of here."
Nanashi takes a few pot shots at any tenticals that happen to show there suckers.

Tail propelling him furiously, Kakashi lunges maniacally at the errant probe repeatedly, trying to catch it so he can bring it back to his master. His humming doesn't stop as he does so, adding even more levity to the situation.
The Warren suddenly appears with a flicker as the cloaking device powers down and the radiant shield sparkles to life, the ship hovering a scant few metres over the ice. Both hangar door ramps lower simultaneously, allowing access for each vehicle to its respective home.
Itsuki's voice is projected from the ship's external comms, "Please hurry. We are not alone." Inside, the Shiba watches the external camera display on his console carefully, ready to pounce on the buttons that will raise the ramps again so they can evacuate to safe space.
Kiru, as Shinwa is able to feel, leaves the bridge and makes a beeline for his quarters. He locks himself in, not in a state to speak to others.

Jumping a speeder is easy. Point in the direction you want to go, adjust the altitude to max, and accelerate as fast as you can. The slight angle helped even allowing the Speeder to jump over with ease.
Sadly, as has been long known to history, its not the Speed that kills you, its not the flying that kills you, its not the angle you leave the ground at that matters....
Its how the stop, the fall the crash that kills you. And Kaiden as they sailed over the widening crevasse began to slowly realize he didn't know how to land the Speeder properly.
((OOC: I feel its only right to give you a chance to respond to this, so enjoy 1 complex action each before you hit the ground. The action WAS a very basic success so no one dies here... but what you do decides how much damage the camel takes.))
