Dorai follows the introductions, nodding to each of his new colleagues in turn. An eyebrow raises at description of a yojimbo "for" the vessel, but the reaction passes quickly. "Thank you, Shinwa-san."
"This one is Ikoma Dorai," he says to the group. "I think I was remiss in introducing myself. And being a pilot is a major part of my responsibilities as a Lion Clan warden in the Ginawa's Redemption sector. It's far from the only thing necessary to maintain the Emperor's peace within Lion space, but poor pilots are easily evaded by those defying the law."

"While Ikoma's fighter is docked, Ikoma has agreed to share piloting duties with Itsuki," Kiru chimes in to inform everyone. "This means that Ikoma shares hatamoto status aboard The Warren, in case anyone is wondering."
Those new to the ship and therefore not acclimatised as yet feel the rumble of thunder from the corridor that leads toward the bridge and the starboard side of the ship.
Kiru and the regular members of the crew ignore it, if they even noticed it in the first place. (OOC: regular crew didn't notice it <3 just the ship trying to scare off the newbies because it hasn't been told to recognise them as friends yet)

Shinwa nods, oblivious to the sound of thunder rippling through the hallways. "I understand, Kiru-san. Thank you for explaining your duties, Ikoma-sama. It is good to know which positions we would serve best at in space and land combat if it is needed, anyway." He glances around. "Hopefully you've all had time to see the whole ship, at least. The Warren's strength is in scouting, so it only has very limited radiant weapons. She has the capacity to enter and exit the atmosphere and handle many kinds of worlds. If we are entering the atmosphere or experiencing alterations in gravity," he gestures to the six 'lockers' lined along the wall to the right, "the seats are there, ready to open. Behind each headrest is an oxygen mempo. You have seen the two life pods, one on either side of the ship. It will be a very tight ride, but as of yet, we can still fit if we need to."
He shakes his head, trying to decide if he's said enough. "The best place for practicing your kata is in the portside cargo bay, where The Camel is housed. If you are practicing with ranged weapons, speak to Nanashi-san...he has specific arrangements that he can explain." He considers further. "Umm....Are there any other questions for us?"

Kiru's eyes light up with amusement at Shinwa's safety explanation. "Also, there is an escape pod on each side of the vessel, each big enough for the entire crew to last a few hours until arrival at a planet or base. Please do not enter them except during an emergency, however. Wouldn't want to arouse suspicion of abandonment. Finally, mina will have noticed by now that The Warren lacks a medical bay. Kiru manages all injuries and ailments, but confesses Kiru can only do so once the patient has acclimatised to the ship, which takes about a week. Once that has happened, though, Kiru can promise that nobody will ever suffer the effects of any poison, disease or injury, no matter how severe, for longer than a minute."
He glances around at everyone as he sips his tea before placing it back beside Rik, wondering if there are indeed any questions.

Nanashi spends the meal munching on his food and watching people. At the talk of the new Lion sharing piloting deities, Nanashi looks between him and Itsuki. Trying to see if the Phoenix really had stolen the Lions girlfriend.
At the talk of entering and leaving Atmo, Nanashi turns visibly green. The worry he might be sick there at the table is real until he gets ahold of himself.
When the subject of range practice comes up, Kakashie's head materializes through the wall at Nanashi's shoulder and lulls his tongue out in a doggy grin. Nanashi rubs behind his ears absentmindedly while finishing a bit of fish.

Something occurs to Shinwa that he hasn't mentioned. "Oh. The Warren does not have a dishwasher. Or, more exactly, the Warren has as many dishwashers as there are crew members. For this and the cleaning of clothing or similar small chores, these duties are our own individual tasks to perform for ourselves, as we are scouts in the field." He gives a small bow, "I fear the facilities are far less here than there would be on a cruise ship, or cruiser."
Just because I'm the ronin and the nezumi is a nezumi, don't think we will do your laundry for you.
"Similarly, for most meals you are free to prepare for yourself, though we can share this duty as a time to gather and discuss as time allows. Thank you sincerely for being understanding in this matter."

"And if you like smoothies, the blender will be fixed in about an hour. If it doesn't explode." Nanashi as if he was talking about the weather.

"And if it does..." Shinwa gestures to the lockers with the oxygen masks. His face is perfectly calm and deadpan as he says it.

Rik peers up at his Nezumi friend and asks (with only Shinwa able to understand the squeaks), "What's happening? 'If it does' what? Why did Shinwa point toward the safety seats?"
Kiru pointedly stares at Nanashi and Shinwa in turn as he replies softly (which everyone can hear), "Nothing. We are safe. Nanashi is joking about something."
The sugar glider tilts his head to look over at Nanashi curiously, and then returns to drinking Kiru's tea.

Nanashi laughs.
Kakashi laughs.
Nanashi pours Shinwa's drink. A sign of his win.

Laundry? Cooking? People expected her to do things like this? Usually on board ship those sorts of things would be taken care poured herself another cup of sake. Perhaps things would be better later on.

Shinwa nods graciously to accept the sake, but then offers, reassuringly to the table, including Rik, "I am certain it will be all right. "
He takes a sip of the drink. "If there is nothing else that I can assist you with, I look forward to traveling with you."
Words said, he tucks into his rice and stirfry and finishes his meal before it gets cold.

Presuming no queries are flung his way, Kiru eats a little more and then excuses himself, washing his utensils and returning his chopsticks to Shiba Itsuki before making for his private quarters, Rik in tow.
There is dancing to be done.

Kaiden walks in, stepping very carefully and begin very cautious not to make any movement or contact with the ship that could be considered aggressive by any stretch of the imagination.
He serves himself a modest amount of food, and sits with the others. Sitting quietly, he listens to the others banter between themselves. At an opportune moment he speaks up.
"My, you are all very... handy. I'm afraid I don't have any such useful skills to contribute. Talking and entertaining are my only specialties."
