The dog floats ahead of her, paddling his stubby feet furiously as he goes; he is far quicker than his form suggests he is capable of.
"Yeah, the captain's actually dead. Just you and me here, Crabby. I can help you get safely off this ship, if you'd like."
There is a soft giggle.
"You just have to tell me why you're in Phoenix space, on a ship that has clearly seen a massacre, and convince me."

Tetsuko stops in her running. If this was the only help she was going to get, then she couldn't be picky.
"We were attacked," Tetsuko explained. "What attacked us and where we came from is classified. But it was of Jigoku, that I can say." She held out her left arm, showing her wrist panel glowing in the darkness. "If there is a ship near by, I can transmit my chop. Is that enough?"

The dog's eyes widen dramatically, and all airs of childishness disappear. "I am so sorry! Head to the nearest airlock, okay? I'll make sure Master knows. Jigoku is nothing to joke about."
With what is perhaps supernatural speed, the Shiba Inu zooms into the nearest wall, out of view.
Seconds later, Kakashi has his head sticking into the central viewing panel of The Warren's bridge. "They were attacked by Jigoku, only a lone Crab alive. I told her we would meet her at her nearest airlock, which should be..."
Kakashi concentrates for a moment, and then an airlock on the derelict ship glows a dull green. "...that one, Master. She seemed calm for a Crab—hit some corpses a few times, but didn't attack me or my illusions."
Kiru nods at Itsuki. "Dock with that airlock, Itsuki. Deactivate cloaking. Kiru charging shields and turret. Be ready for anything."
As the ship moves to close in and join the derelict ship, Kiru's voice can be heard over The Warren's internal comms, "Lone Crab samurai boarding. Be wary of taint-taint or hell minions. Shinwa, as soon as Crab is aboard, notify bridge for detachment."

The closest airlock was near. Of course, the electronic panel was shot but the manual controls weren't working either. "Baka," Tetsuko said to herself. She would have to try another way. She went over to the largest hull breach and looked out. There was the ship, it didnt look like much but again, she couldn't afford to be picky. She used her tetsubo to clear a bigger hole so she could fit through. Then she stowed her tetsubo on her back, coiled up into a crouching position and jumped.
[OOC:Athletics, 4k4. That's a 21 to jump towards the ship]

Tetsuko's jump was good, she had been trained for space combat after all, although she hit the other ship harder then planned, as her typical control jets did not activate to slow her momentum.
It doesn't look like she dinted the Hull, but she almost certainly scratched it up a bit before the magnetic boots kicked in and stuck her fast.

On the bridge, Kiru frowns and touches a hand to his stomach briefly, catching his breath.
"Senchou? Daijoubu?" Itsuki doesn't try to hide his concern.
"Hai-hai, relax Itsuki. Relax." Kiru smiles to cover the discomfort he feels at his home, his Name, being violated. Will fix later... "Kakashi, escort Crab to the airlock."
The dog nods and ducks his head back into space as he waddles along the hull of the ship to the Hida, before barking and bouncing along the hull toward the airlock, bowside of the turret. He barks again. "Hurry, Crabby!"

"I have a name," Tetsuko said crossly, "and it's NOT 'Crabby'!" But she followed the dog to the airlock.
What sort of ship is this? And where exactly am I? Tetsuko wondered. She would have answers soon anyway.

Meanwhile, in the nearby space dock...
"See space! See space! The wonders of the universe await you on-board luxurious Crane Cruises!"
The lone Doji walks along the promenade, calling out to random passers by, Sometimes targeting one in particular and shoving a leaflet into their hands.
"You Sir! Have you had the pleasure of experiencing Crane Cruises? Book now and get two hundred and fifty koku on-board credit!"

Shinwa does not react to sudden scratch, focusing on the airlock and the space beyond, hand on the tsuka of his katana. It simply is that the Nezumi is insane. And so am I.
Sounds from the hull echo oddly on the interior of the spacecraft with a closed air system, making hard to pin point their exact source. The odd clanging and banging of the footsteps on the ship echoed in the nearby cargo areas. But as the Hida grew close, Shinwa straightened. "Almost there," he said aloud into the commlink.
The instant the Hida reaches the edge of the airlock, it smoothly rolls open. A set of ladder-rungs lead into it to assist with entry. The small chamber seems standard for a ship of this size, though the glass in the door to enter the main ship is one-way glass, so presents just a mirror surface from that side. The door to the interior ship is, naturally, locked. At least until the exterior door is closed.

Tetsuko watched the airlock door open. It was time to do some trusting, it could be anyone on that ship. She descended down the ladder and into the airlock. The exterior door closed behind her, right in front was the mirror door. They could see her, but she couldn't see them. She didn't like it but didn't have a choice. She gave a nod to whoever was on the other side, giving them the signal to pressurise.

The exterior door closes and air hisses into the chamber. At first, nothing happens to the interior door.
Meanwhile, up on the bridge, the message goes up from Shinwa at the airlock. "Our guest has arrived, Kiru-san. Feel free to depart."
The time seems to take forever, even if it is only a moment or two. But finally the interior door slides open.
And, standing there casually, looking just as travel-worn, tired, and smug as he did when last you met, is a familiar tall, handsome ronin with long black hair, gray eyes, and a scar down his cheek.
"Welcome aboard, Crab-sama."

Tetsuko removes her helmet, closing her eyes, breathing deeply. Getting used to the right light and the ship's air. It had a strange smell to it, like...plants? Dirt? Strange things to smellon a space ship. And speaking of smells, there was a stale and sweaty about Tetsuko. She had been in her armour for some time and once the seals of her armour were broken the smell was apparent. She ran her fingers through her hair, stopping it from sticking to her head with sweat. She shook her head vigourously...then stopped, freezing when she saw who was watching her.
She knew him...no, not knew him...remembered him...a dive bar in a cheap hotel...broken glass...a goldfish...
And Nobu...
She had gotten angry, Nezumi in the hotel. Were there Nezumi here? One of the illusions had been one.
Calm down, she told herself, Nobu always said that you can't get angry with people who you need to help you.
She made a rough bow, more a courtesy than anything else. "Hida Tetsuko, daughter of Hida Takemu of the line of Hida Shihei, Gunso of the Teitetsu Platoon." She looked up, her face set and impassive. "I believe we have met."

And as simply as that, my faith is renewed.
Shinwa bows, his face composed in simple respect. "Hida-sama. I believe we have, indeed, met. Welcome to the Warren, though I regret that your arrival has occurred under such circumstances. My name is Shinwa. This vessel is..."
He trails off, searching for the right word. under my command? under my employ? I work here? He wasn't quite sure which.
"This vessel flies under the banners of the Phoenix. We are in the Rokugani Capital System near the moon of Chukan's Tomb." He hesitates a moment, and adds, "I must inform you that our scans have detected no other survivors. Please wait a moment."
The computers conduct a scan automatically of the new arrival, but do not beep. Shinwa takes that as a promising sign, awkwardly tapping out a message to the bridge that the Crab is on board, has come alone, and does not seem to have signs of taint or posession.
"Please follow me so you can refresh yourself while we make distance from the wreckage and travel to the moonbase."

Tetsuko followed Shinwa through the ship. It was strange, stranger than any ship she had been on. The walls seemed to close in on her, fighting her, trying to push her back out the airlock. That was strange in itself, as a chuubushi Tetsuko didn't mind closed-in spaces and was well-used to them.
Above her head she could see the hemp netting twisting around the ceiling through the ship. What in space could that be there for? Was sort of place was she in.
Not that it mattered, she was there now.

The scent of fresh leaves and earth grows, and few brightly green vines of grapes and melons interweave their way in between the hemp netting overhead in the hallway. A pale light glows as a large vertical fish tank appears, lit by pale blue light. On the right, there are cabinets and a large table and benches.
Shinwa gestures towards a door. "There is a shower and area to wash and cleanup there," he says, tapping a metal plate next to the door. The door does not open. Having, apparently, a near-infinite supply of patience, he waits a moment, taps it again, and the door opens to reveal a shower, sink, and separate bathroom chamber. There is a clean towel hanging from a bar, though there also seems to be the more standard recycled water and air-drying functions.
Shinwa goes to a cabinet in the room with the table and opens it, taking out a cup. He brings it to Tetsuko.
"I can bring you a clean yakuta and obi if you wish to change."
