Shinwa stares at a point on the ground in front of him as as if he is trying to puzzle out the truth of something, though the thoughts racing through his head are concealed from sight from any save for the Oracle that stands before them.
Slowly, however, he raises his arms parallel to his sides, and his hands hold no weapons, and are empty.
After a start at hearing Nanashi say his name, he says,
"The story is barely begun. I dare not presume. We need to hear his words."

Meanwhile, up on the bridge of The Warren, M'thack-kir continues to scan the system, specifically looking for trails/wakes possibly left behind in the last week or so of ships leaving the system. (OOC: 36, 1 raise called. orokos.com/roll/527564#)"What is master up to?" Kakashi suddenly appears in front of Kiru, languidly lying back on the dashboard, yet not interacting at all with the various buttons, dials and screens his furry form should be interfering with. "The area is too silent, even for space-space. Maybe someone else has visited recently. Is The Warren under Kakashi's illusion?" "Yes, master." "Good. Kiru has special task for Kakashi." The dog's tail wags furiously with excitement, for special tasks usually involve leaving the confines of the ship. "The ice concerns Kiru. Kakashi has an hour to travel down to the surface and investigate what is going on under it, in the ocean below. Absolute Stealth, no tricks or jokes. Cannot be seen or heard. Understand-understand?" Kakashi grins, his tongue looking out to cover his chin despite defying gravity in the opposite direction. "Yes, master." And then, Kakashi is gone, invisible, ethereal, and as fast as an average fighter.

Tetsuko held her tetsubo tight, the voices were hard to ignore. The sort of things that were in her nightmares, had her waking up in a cold sweat in the barracks...
Remember your brother...
Her brother Nobu, a shadow of his former self. Retired early to Kyuden Hida Prime. They had done this to him, crippled him...
Crush him, make him bleed...
The Hida's muscles tensed, ready to spring. She raised her tetsubo, ready for battle. It wouldn't take much, such a small man who had done so much...
Kill him...
Destroy him...
Tetsuko screamed, running towards the Asahina. Ready to attack...and trying to miss.

Those are terrible rolls. That's all I got Egon. Also....I broke something.] Shinwa goes for the grappling launcher....but will he make it in time? [Added Note: Didn't know that Grappling TN ignores Armor TN Bonus and just needs to hit to initiate the grapple, so I may not have needed to reroll with Lucky. I will leave to GM Decision on whether that is spent or not. ]

(OOC: purely because Kiru's actions can have immediate and direct impact on those at this scene due to Nezumi magic, I'm rolling initiative too. Chances are, I'll be skipped each round and that's absolutely fine. Emerald knows when Kiru would be aware of a need to take action, so until then my initiative is just an irrelevant number: 23 orokos.com/roll/527755#)

[OOC: Grappler range = Vehicle 8: Should be sufficient to more than make it to Tetsuko no matter how far she got. However, whether she reaches or not before Shinwa acts depends on how far can go in one simple action, assuming 2 attacks/round. She may not be able to close and attack in the same round. Though, to be fair, Shinwa may not be able to assess, sit, aim, and fire in one round either. So this all is on GM decisions on how far apart everything is.] Tetsuko is already well underway in her run towards the crystal before Shinwa manages to shake free his confusion and exceedingly mixed impulses, reach the controls, and fire the grappling gun at her. I shouldn't interfere...I'm not part of the story. The authors can't be in it....This is not how it goes....She's the victim...she's the goddess in the crystal...But I can't free her from the crystal...I'm not supposed to be the hero..."
Oh, KUSO!...I must stop the Crab! Wait...I'm not supposed to interfere...I...But...I'm not supposed to be the hero....But...She's running...The impulse to interfere on the side of angels is too great. Shinwa's hands grab the passenger's side stick that controls the grappling gun and he fires towards Tetsuko's retreating back. The steel cable and grabbing claw whistles through the icy air. If it was actually trying to damage the woman in the armor, there was no chance. But the armor itself was the objective. There is a chance...a slim one...that it would reach her in time. [OOC: If we get that far: Grappling Launcher Damage: 1k1=8 The Camel's Strength is 4 for the Grapple] As he does so, an arc of electrical sparks ripples across the Camel's control panels, wrecking havoc on at least one of the Camel's subsystems.

((OOC: I can assure you, you will get a chance to fire the grapple. If you don't stop her, next round she will get a chance to break the ice.)) Tetsuko can't reach the crystal as quickly as she would like for two reasons. The first is that she is attempting to run on ice, a difficult prospect at the best of times, let alone when blind rage and sorrow is guiding her actions. But the second is that which the Oracle tried to warn them all about. The Dark Oracle of Water's own power. And sadly, the Oracle of Water wasn't fast enough to stop it. On after about one Metre, Tetsuko gets caught in a vision, not an illusion, but a hallucination as she steps inside the limited area the Oracle can sense. Tetsuko is in the ice, Tetsuko is suffering the wrath of the Seokga, Tetsuko feels the pain, the Agony, the torment the Dark Oracle is suffering. What is seconds in the real world is minutes, hours, days as Tetsuko feels that torture, from cold, from hunger, from the Kansen being deliberately provoked to cause her pain, to make an example of her failures...And then, just before it all ended, a single whisper, "No one deserves this...you know this. Help me." Meanwhile the Light Oracle attempts damage control, and after praying to the only kami that would come here with him, raises a wall of water between the Hida and the Ice. But its flimsy and the Kansen are already attacking it. If it lasts more then a minute, it would be surprising. Oracle or not, this was a world where the Dragon's power was weaker, compared to the Seokga and its servants. ((OOC: I have chosen not to roll for Water prayers that don't attack the party, just to save rolls for this fight. To say both Oracles should almost never fail a water prayer is putting it mildly. Initiative: 7d10o10k4 35 Dark OracleInitiative: 7d10o10k5 34 Light Oracle
Tetsuko roll Willpower, TN 25. The Dark Oracle maybe trying to win you to her side, but right now she isn't good at modulating and controlling her power. On a failure, the pain overcomes you and you fall prone. Finally, Shinwa totally is going to feel like she is danger now, Kiru.))
Swimming though space, Kakashi continues to notice the completer lack of anything. No ships, no ship ruins, no nothing. The world's atmosphere and soil either never had any form of contact with Rokuganihad been completely picked clean Still, this was not his mission. He had to find out what was going on with the But it was here for that was below the ice.ere were important. , each as big as the Elephant but and most with long tentacles. It was likely breaking part the ice would slow this creature....but if they have some of their mental facilities left, or if they had the tiniest fraction of free will For now they rest, but they are begining to stir, feeling the emotions that come from the fight elsewhere.

(The first round is over, so Initiative really returns to Tetsuko. However I will do a small post to summerise the current situation, and deal with the grapple zKPJFzaO1-101-101-101-101-101-10k5 vs Tetsuko's Armour TN, pass. While it is now between the Hida and the Camel, aiming the Chain weapon was all Samurai skill. Good reflexes come in handy )
Tetsuko remains standing, a wall of water separating her from her objective. It would be hard to pass through this round, but possibly doable given that this world has more Kansen then Kami. However it would certainly hurt.
Shinwa's grapple is another matter. It soars through the air, before just managing to catch a spot in the Bushi's armor, through what looks to be sheer dumb luck more so then anything else. However the injuries inflicted was barely notable (3 Damage to our Hida).
The question now remained....a wall of water in front of her, a grapple holding her back, a Dragon Samurai attempting, poorly to chase her, and having recently felt the sheer agony this victim was feeling...
What does Tetsuko do?1-10·1-10·1-10·1-10·1-10·1-10

Somehow, Tetsuko managed to fight through the fog in her mind, and the impact of the grappling hook gave her a moment of clarity. She lowered her weapon, looked at the wall of water, saw Nanashi running towards her. What had happened?
[OOC: So she just takes one simple action, lowering her wrapon]
